Dr. Valasia Iakovoglou is a graduate of Iowa State University, USA. She has more than 20-yrs of national/international research and teaching experience as an Ecophysiologist/Silviculture expert in seedling production and Restoration/Conservation of Ecosystems with emphasis on Biodiversity under the challenges of Climate Change. She has received numerous scholarships, awards and recognitions. She is an editor at five international journals and a reviewer in more than ten with one of them being the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). She has numerous publications with more than ten books/book chapters and 50 peer-reviewed papers. She is active in many scientific societies such as the Mediterranean Experts of Climate and environmental Change (MedECC) and associations such as the “Association of Inter-Balkan Woman’s Cooperation Societies (AIWCS)” of UNESCO Center, where she serves as Board Member. Currently she is the Director of the Ecotourism Sector of the UNESCO chair Con-E-Ect and a visiting professor at the MSc program “Man and Water”.

Dr. Poljuha graduated from molecular biology at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (Croatia), where she also holds a PhD degree in natural sciences in the field of biology. She has worked as a researcher at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, The Institute of Agriculture and Tourism Poreč, and The Materials Research Center METRIS Pula. She has participated in 25 national and international projects and has published over 50 scientific papers. She is the founder of two laboratories and a Biotechnical Department. Her research interests are focused on plant genetics and the application of molecular markers in the conservation of plant genetic resources. She is also involved with the popularization of science.

He has been a keynote speaker and an invited speaker at a number of international and national conferences and meetings, was the President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Institute of Agrologists (P.Ag.) and the Canadian Society for Horticultural Science; the Editor-in-Chief of the journal: Scientia Horticulturae, and a Special Issue Editor of Agronomy (MDPI). He was the Country Representative for Canada and the Council Member of the International Society for Horticultural Science. His research concerns biotechnology along with conventional method-based value-added small fruit and medicinal plant production, propagation and genetic enhancement. Much of his current work focuses on wild germplasm, antioxidant activity, biodiversity and micropropagation for berry crop improvement using in vitro and molecular techniques combined with conventional methods.

In 2012 she finished Habilitation on dendrochronology of yew in Poland and western Ukraine. Her current research interests are focused on dendroclimatology of the wild service tree and dendroecology of trees growing in wet habitats. Anna Cedro is Professor of geography at the Szczecin University, Institute of Marine and Environmental Sciences (teaching Meteorology and Climatology) She is Director of Szczecin University Doctoral School. Claude Billeaud received his MD degree from the Medical University of Bordeaux ( France) in 1979 after a graduation in human cytogenetics (1976). He then studied pediatrics and has been the Clinical Assistant Director of Bordeaux University in the departments of Pediatrics, Neonatology and Intensive Care since 1983.He currently serves as a pediatrician in the neonatal unit at the Children’s Hospital of Bordeaux, as a scientific manager of Bordeaux-Marmande human milk bank, as a lecturer and head of research (HDR : Habilitation to direct research) in neonatal nutrition at the Medical University of Bordeaux. His particular interest in research led him to graduate in Biology and Health (1988, Bordeaux), be awarded a master in statistics applied to clinical research ( 1991, Montreal) and complete a PhD in nutrition and food science (2000, Bordeaux).Along his career he has often been invited as a guest professor specialised in nutrition and neonatology in various universities abroad ( Montreal, Corrientes in Argentina).Over the last 35 years, he has been an active member of different scientific organisations, either French, European or American, specialised in perinatal medicine (neonatology, pediatrics and nutrition). In this instance, he has served as the President of the Association for Pediatric Education in Europe (A.P.E.E) since 2008 and behalf APEE he is Member of European Academy of Paediatrics (EAP). He has also been very involved in the French human milk banking association (ADLF) for more than 10 years, sharing his academic knowledge focused in nutrition and his long clinical experience in neonatology. He is currently carrying out several researches on the composition of human milk.As an expert in nutrition and perinatal medicine, he is also the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications.

Dr. Wu is a molecular and nutritional epidemiologist with training in medicine, epidemiology, and nutritional biochemistry. She received her M.D. from China, PhD in nutrition from the University of North Carolina and Master of Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health.  She finished her postdoctoral training at Harvard School of Public Health focusing on nutritional and molecular epidemiology.  She has received several grants and published many papers focusing on dietary and biochemical predictors of aging related chronic diseases in the past 15 years.  Dr. Wu was awarded several prestigious awards for her contribution on identifying fluorescent oxidation products as a strong predictor for heart disease and hip fractures. Examples of her awards are Jeremiah & Rose Stamler Research award and Elizabeth Barrett-Connor Research Award nomination from American Heart Association.  She is currently an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at School of Public Health, San Diego State University.

Tetsumori Yamashima MD, PhD is a consultant neurosurgeon specialized in neuroscience. In 1975, he graduated from Kanazawa University Faculty of Medicine. In 1979, he completed his research diploma in the Kanazawa University Graduate School Medical Research Course (Doctor of Medicine). He then studied abroad in Germany and Sweden, including neuropathology and brain science. He became Chief of Medical Staff at Kanazawa University Hospital, Associate Professor of Kanazawa University Medical Faculty, and Director of Restorative Neurosurgery at Kanazawa University Graduate School of Medical Science. At present, he is CEO of the Arimatsu Medical and Dental Clinic in Kanazawa city, works at this clinic (Tuesday to Saturday), and at Minami-gaoka Hospital (consultant neurosurgeon: Monday mornings). At Kanazawa University Hospital (part-time lecturer: Monday afternoons), he heads a special “higher brain dysfunction” outpatient clinic. He is acknowledged for using the RBANS (Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status), MRI and PET scans for early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, even a few years before dementia appears, allowing preventive treatment to be carried out. In 1998, he proposed the “calpain-cathepsin hypothesis” as a mechanism of neuronal cell death. He also discovered that the causative agent responsible for Alzheimer’s disease is not amyloid β, but hydroxynonenal derived from “cooking oil”. He is the author of 200 published scientific papers in English, and 75 papers and 15 books in Japanese.

Cemil Koyunoglu was born in Malatya in 1980. And his family moved from Malatya to Antalya when he finished his 1st preliminary school. He finished his followed classes in Antalya and he graduated Chemical Engineering in Malatya, Inonu University. He was one of the main people who established Inonu-Pal accredited fuel-oil laboratory with his willingness after his bachelor's degree graduation. Then, he graduated with his Master’s. degree position at the same department during his proficiency testing connection between SGS Netherland and Inonu-Pal. After the fuel-oil laboratory was first accepted as an accredited laboratory. He was accepted as a research assistant in Yalova University Energy System Engineering Department.

Biography
Dr. Suresh Challa obtained his Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and received Gold Medal for being the first rank holder in the university. He has obtained his Ph.D in Biochemistry from the same university. His research interests include Nutritional Biochemistry and Biochemical Toxicology both in vitro and in vivo models. He is presently serving as a Scientist at National Institute of Nutrition and his research involves in addressing the pathologies associated with Osteoporosis and different therapeutic approaches in combating the disease and studying the intracellular effects of Cowpea isoflavones using both in vitro and in vivo models. Another area of research interest is studying the synergistic toxic effects of environmental heavy metal Lead and amyloid peptides on brain using human brain cells and its protection by different neuroprotective compounds. He has been recognized as PhD research supervisor in several universities in the subjects of Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Nutrition. He is serving as faculty at NIN for different courses and also as Board of studies member at various universities. To his credit he has published more than 50 both national and international journals and participated in more than 25 national and international conferences and delivered research presentations. He is an active member of several professional bodies and societies.

Dr. Trivedi has completed Postgraduation in Microbiology from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, India in 2008.  He then joined CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India as Project Fellow in 2009 and completed his Ph.D. degree in Biological Science from AcSIR, New Delhi under the guidance of Dr. CRK Reddy in 2015. Dr. Trivedi received several national and international postdoctoral fellowships like DSKPDF (UGC, India), ARO PDF (Israel), PDF at Dalhousie University (Canada). Formerly, he was a Sustainable Agriculture Advisor of Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) and Senior Scientist of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI). Dr. Tanveer holds a PhD in Agriculture from Ehime University, Japan (2008). He was awarded the grand prize of the Organic Farming Innovation Award (OFIA) by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) in 2011. Currently, he serves as an Ambassador for IFOAM and Asian Local Government for Organic Agriculture (ALGOA) and was previously Vice-President of IFOAM-Asia. He has published around 50 scientific articles.

Dr. Dalia El Khoury received a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics (2002) and an MSc in Nutrition (2005) at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Afterward, she completed her PhD in Physiology and Physiopathology at the University of Pierre et Marie Curie, France (2008). Dr. El Khoury then served as a lecturer at the American University of Beirut (2009-2010), and as a postdoctoral fellow and sessional lecturer at the University of Toronto, Canada (2010-2014). Later, she joined an international leading company in infant and child nutrition, Mead Johnson Nutrition, as senior scientist in Global Regulatory and Nutrition Science for approximately two years (2014-2016). Currently, Dr. El Khoury is an assistant professor in the department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition at the University of Guelph, Canada. One of her lines of research aims at identifying novel biomarkers for the metabolic syndrome both in children and adults.
